Here you will find all the important questions and answers about the Hotel Monopol, your Lucerne hotel right by the train station.
Arrival and departure
When can I check in and check out?
Check-in is possible from 15:00, check-out until 11:00. Late departures are possible for an additional charge (CHF 50.00 until 14:00, CHF 100.00 until 15:00, full daily rate thereafter, subject to availability). Luggage storage is available free of charge at the reception.
Rooms & facilities
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, all rooms are equipped with air conditioning (operation from May to approx. October).
Is there free WLAN in the rooms?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and throughout the hotel.
Are hairdryers, bathrobes or slippers available?
There is a hairdryer in every room. Bathrobes and slippers are available free of charge at reception.
Is there a safe in the room?
Yes, all rooms are equipped with a safe.
Are the rooms non-smoking?
Yes, our hotel is a non-smoking hotel. A cleaning fee of CHF 250.00 will be charged for non-compliance.
Service & Extras
Does the hotel offer a laundry service?
Yes, laundry left before 09:00 will be returned the same evening (subject to a charge).
Can I book a wake-up service?
Yes, our wake-up service is available on request at reception.
Is there room service?
No, but you can have food delivered to your room. Plates and cutlery are available free of charge at reception.
Breakfast & Gastronomy
When is breakfast served?
Our breakfast buffet is available daily from 06:30 to 11:00 on the 1st floor. Price: CHF 30.00 per person/day.
If you book breakfast in advance, we have reduced prices.
Is there a restaurant or bar in the hotel?
The Hotel Monopol Luzern does not have its own restaurant. We will be happy to give you tips on restaurants and bars in the area at reception.
Parking & Traffic
Where can I park my car?- Hotel parking lot: CHF 35.00 per night (limited spaces, reservation recommended).
- Station parking P1: Directly in front of the hotel (subject to charge).
- Public parking lot: CHF 30.00 for 24 hours (parking card available at the reception, limited availability).
Does the hotel offer a cab service?
Yes, we will be happy to order a cab for you at reception.
Leisure & surroundings
Are there any fitness or wellness facilities?
The Hotel Monopol Luzern does not have its own fitness or wellness area. We are happy to recommend a nearby fitness center or spa.
What excursions are available in Lucerne?
Our reception will be happy to inform you about excursion destinations and issue tickets on request.
Pets
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed in the hotel. There is a service charge of CHF 20.00 per day (without food).
Payment & Currency
Which means of payment are accepted?
We accept the following payment methods: credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club), Postcard, Maestro and CHF.
Can I change money at the hotel?
Yes, we change common foreign currencies (notes only) at the reception.
