Bourbaki Panorama

The Bourbaki Panorama is a panoramic circular painting, museum and cultural center in Lucerne. The 112 by 10 meter painting is one of the last surviving giant panorama paintings of the 19th century. It is a European cultural monument. The painter of the panorama, Edouard Castres, experienced the war as a Red Cross volunteer. The museum (very close to the glacier garden) provides information about the war, the fate of the Bourbaki army and the panorama painting.
