 Kappell bridge
The world-famous Chapel Bridge is Lucerne's landmark and the oldest wooden bridge in Europe.
The bridge takes its name from the neighboring St. Peter's Chapel and was built in the first half of the 14th century. The panels added in the 17th century depict scenes from Swiss and city history as well as biographies of the city's patron saints St. Leodegar and Mauritius.
